Isn't Freddie Roach gonna be training Margarito?

There was a rumor a while ago about it and I frankly hope it'll stay at the rumor's stage.

He put fighter's lives and career's at risk even more by cheating....if they found him face down in a ditch I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I would love nothing more than to see Toni if he does fight again, get the shit beat out of him! I want him to be battered for 12 rounds....I don't care about a KO or anything, I want his orbital bones broken, his retinas detatched, and his jaw broken...I want his career ended in his "Comeback fight"

Great post and I can't believe people are still defending Margarito. Billy Collins Jr. was a tragedy and the many boxers Margarito faced could have ended up with a busted career like that.

What if he totally came back clean and honest and was checked with a magnifying glass every single fight, followed rules, gave us good fights, etc. You guys still wouldn't give him a second chance?

Do you think that 8 months off from fighting is a fair punishment, especially as that is all he might have missed through ring inactivity anyway

I've not been as hard on his guilt as others, but to come back talking the way he is shows a complete asshole in action

Margarito can plan a return all he wants. But as long as he keeps playing the ridiculous "I didn't know what was on my hands" card, I don't see why California would shorten his sentence.

You shorten a suspension when someone admits guilt, shows remorse, and says and does the right things. Margarito hasn't done that at all.

Margo fought Williams once. By no means did Paul blow him out. In fact, in a rematch I would fully expect Paul to lose.

Yeah. I think people are ducking Paul at 147, but rightfully so. Just because the man can make the weight doesn't mean he belongs in the division. The physics involved make him an awful opponent for the shorter guys. He needs to keep at 160 and up.

I hope he gets froze out of the world title picture for abit we will never know now if his wins over Cintron and Cotto werent aided by these plaster coated hand wraps i was a big fan of Margarito but it really gutted me when this came out im not sure if i will be a fan now.

Yeah. And his performances against the Sebastian Lujan and Daniel Santos come in to question as well. I too was a big fan and was always excited to see Margarito fight because of his relentlessness and ability to take a punch.

The handwrap issue is a huge disappointment for me and I don't how anyone can allow him to make money off a sport he has no respect for.
