    Default Kahn...Who Can He Beat??

Okay lets get real and get a reality check , Khan won a title against the weakest title holder. Now the hard part defend his title and this is my take on what might happen if he ever faced any of the top guys in the light Welter Division.

    Manny Pacquiao 49-3-2
Pacman would easy walk through Khan and knock him out inside 4 rounds

    Timothy Bradley 25-0- 0
Bradley is Hot property at the moment and I can see Khan Losing by KO

    Ricky Hatton 45-2-0
Might Lose by KO but could easily run like a dog and outbox him

    Marcos Rene Maidana 26-1-0
Maidana's style is all wrong for Khan. Maidana would brawl and use Khan has target practise.

    Devon Alexander 19-0-0
Winnable fight for Khan but not an easy win

    Kendall Holt 25-3-0
Holt might have enough to beat Khan

    Nate Campbell 33-6-1
Winnable fight for Khan, IMO Campbell is on the slide

    Paul Malignaggi 26-2-0
Another winnable fight for Khan, Malignaggi damaged goods but not an exciting matchup

    Lamont Peterson 27-0-0
Even after 27 fights Peterson is carefully protected by his management and the first time Peterson steps up he will get beat and I think Khan can win this without many problems.

I just hope Frank Warren dosn't give us any more crappy match ups especially when Khan is PPV.....I personnally aint going to pay to watch Khan fight cause in my opinion Khan will be matched against the weakest of challengers and look like dog poo against any one with a pulse

    Official WBA Rankings

    Marcos Maidana - Interim Champ

    1. Dimitri Salita
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Victor Cayo
    5. Juan Diaz
    6. Ionut Dan Ion
    7. Kendall Holt
    8. Mike Alvarado
    9. Victor Ortiz
    10. Richard Hatton

    lol...maybe we can get a Hatton v Khan fight...I wonder...lol

But before that cause the sanctioning bodies are so clever at their jobs Khan will need to fight Marcos Maidana. I wonder how Khan/Warren will get out of that

How the heck is Diaz in there. Did he buy that spot?

Anyways, I say Kahn beats everyone on there except for Pac and Hatton. Maidana would be the toughest with those two aside, but his boxing skills are minimal and relies on brute force, he wouldn't get near Kahn......

The only other guys I see giving Khan problems is maybe Bradley, although he has the same style as Khan with his volume, "give the gloves a beat down" style, which he executed pretty good against Campbell. Then possibly Alexander, who is a good boxer (ask Witter) but isn't the second coming by any stretch....

Surely he couldn't beat Captain Kirk....could he

...but seriously, I think Khan is a 50/50 shot vs most of these guys, he has great handspeed and solid power....I worry about his chin and his ability to BOX, Freddy Roach fighters aren't known for their decision wins. Lamont Peterson is a tough guy, he has very solid defense and quick hands as well, he could give Khan trouble as could Bradley, Holt, and Alexander.

I agree with Lyle. A lot of those guys are in with a decent shot at beating him. He will be lucky to last a couple of defences before getting his head bashed in again. Malignaggi might actually be a good fight for Khan as he probably won't be able to hurt him. But even then Malignaggi might be able to frustrate him a fair bit.

I don't really care too much about who he fights and don't have high hopes of too many decent matchups with Warren most likely looking to consolidate after Kotelnik. Hopefully, we will be proven wrong, but probably not too likely.

I think the Pauli M fight would be good a good technical fight with both fighters been fast on there feet but i think Khan wins a UD.

I wouldn't be suprised if they match him with Micheal Katsidis, even at light welter. It's a fan friendly fight, Kats would probably jump at the chance to get back in the limelight and I imagine Khan wouldn't even have to move back down to lightweight for it.

Kats has already fought in the UK and Stateside and I imagine this would meet with promoter and broadcaster aproval on both sides of the Atlantic.

It's a fight I can see happening and it would be a very entertaining one.

He's not in the rankings though I see so depends if Khan has a forced mandatory to take or not as he won't be wanting to give up that belt.

You hold Khan in such high regard VD
But to be fair his chin is so weak , it will take all of Warren's conning an bullshit ,to maneuver Khan through more than a couple of defences. But in the not to distant future , the front 3 rows of fans will be showered with shards of glass , when the next puncher hits Khan on the chin.

Probably the same way Kahn got a shot having never fought at the weight before and being destroyed inside a minute a couple fights earlier. Atleast Diaz is a former undisuputed champion.

Khan was not a mandatory, he was a chosen opponent by Kotelnik, who had fulfilled his mandatory for the year when he beat Maidana in February. So they're completely different situations.

I was also just looking at the WBA ratings. Can someone tell me why Ricky Hatton is ranked as Richard Hatton, and all the other guys with abbrevated names like Zab Judah or Mike Jones for instance are listed as Zab and Mike. lol the WBA always amuses me.

think khan would have the best chance of winning if he fought malignaggi. its another name opponent. also he carries no heavy punch. bradley and even alexander i think are too hot for him at this moment in time
