    I think the stoppage of fights early stems from the fact that UFC is now goverened by state boxing commisions. They had to soften the rules, have weight classes, rounds and the scoring system along with other rules. For the hardcore MMA fan this is giving up alot but the other side is that they don't have to go through legal battles just to have events in the US. There is no arguing the much deepr talent pool in Pride, but hopefully as MMA continues to grow in the US the UFC will get deeper in talent, and there will two legit companies. A Pride/UFC card with champions fighting each other and a couple of other top contenders would be very entertaining.
