The reason I picked Cotto is because Cotto will be the biggest puncher Pacquiao has faced in well maybe ever. When ODLH hit Pacquiao all of three times in their fight, Pacquiao visibly felt the punches. Cotto should be even stronger and should hit harder. He won't be weight drained because the fight is at 145. Lesser punchers have put Pacquaio down.

The people who are picking Pacquiao will point to the abuse Cotto took in his recent performances against Clottey and Margarito; and, there is undeniable merit to that argument. In addition, Cotto was cut badly in both those fights. Pacquiao may get to him if he can cut him up. Pacquiao also may be faster than anyone Cotto's faced and Pacquiao is coming off of two huge wins.

I've read places that Cotto's weakness is that he can't fight moving backward. But, will Pacquiao even fight him that way? Won't he fight him darting in-and-out? Will that be as effective? Where does Pacquiao's power stand when compared with Clottey and Margarito?

Not me I am picking Pacquaio on boxing ability. Nobody has ever been able to do it except Mosley IMO. Pacquiao is at his peak and I think Cotto is on the downward slope. Funny I thought Pac-Man was on the downward slope when he was going to fight Marquez but he has really gotten better and better with each fight.

But then again it could be the other way around. Pacquaio has fought an old De La Hoya and a pretty easy to hit Ricky Hatton. Both guy's were perfect matches for Pac at the time. I could see him wilting under the pressure of Cotto.

This was a tough desicion but I think Pac-Man will pull out the win in a desicion.
Good point and I agree. It is a close fight to call. However, Pac better have a good camp because if he thinks he'll steamroll Cotto without training hard, he'll be surprised by Cotto's toughness. On the other hand, he steamrolled his last three opponents...

Iam picking Cotto by late tko.He will get tagged early much like the Judah fight, once Cotto settles down i see him landing more shots as the fight goes on and then landing the more telling shots later on in the fight that Manny Pac wont take.

I'm picking Cotto to KO Pac inside of 9. I think he'll start slow the first 2 rounds and will catch up to Pac as well.

I can't vote on either cause I really don't know who wins. I always look at a Pacquiao fight as a matter of "IF's." If Cotto gets Manny on the ropes often, I don't see Manny lasting.

I'll just say that Pac's recent actions is really pissing me off!!

I honestly think Pacqiuao will stop Cotto late. Neither are the hardest to hit, but I think Pac will expose Cotto's vunerability to attacks directly down the middle.

Now this is something boxing fans want, another 50/50 fight where you have both sides debating on who could win.

I really don't think the other big fight with JMM/PBF is a toss them up fight, it's just too one sided in PBF's advantages imo.

I want Cotto to beat the shit out of him and totally piss on his parade. Roach gets on my tits when he talks about Pac so I'd like to see him peeling Manny off the canvas in around 4-5 rounds.

Pac's on a roll & Cotto is not, Pac's superior hand and foot speed will be too much to overcome and Pac does very well against left hand dominant fighters.

I picked Pacquiao, but Cotto will give Pacquiao fits if Cotto is able to handle Pacquiao speed because of the size difference.

Everytime you favor a fighter to win against Pac, Pac wins.

That's the reason I voted for Pac.

That is quite true. Manny has been a thorn in my side for quite some time. But lest we forget, I was actually willing him on against the ultimate devil incarnate....Oscar DelaHoya. On the whole though and in the superfights I have been pretty much in the opposing corner. I've got to be right one day. I don't know when that day might be, but surely that day will come. That's how I look at it anyway.

i was very unsure of this fight, but Teddy Atlas picked Manny to win, so common sense says don't pick the guy Teddy says will win. So Cotto it is for me.

Cotto boxes like a throwback, he's old school and he listens to instructions and doesn't deviate from the game plan. That is what nearly did him in against Clottey. He doesn't shift his body like he used to and Manny won't fall for that and now Cotto gets hurt, he bleeds, he gets knocked down. He's formidable but his opposition has been more than tough and in one case less than fair. He can still win if he doesn't stiffen up. He should relax and let go like he used to. Manny on the other hand has an uninhibited style like a Hank Armstrong and like it or not, when he gets warmed up, he can hide behind his combination punches. I think he can pull it off he's fast but to knock out Cotto, I don't believe so. If Manny stops punching then Cotto's strength will take over but so far unless that training camp becomes unglued not that it seems cohesive now, then points for Cotto. Manny can only win if he goes in with his mind and ass unf**ked.

If you're as good as in your last performance, I would say PacMan high above after a very entertaining fight, Cotto is damn skilled but since his defeat to Margaplaster, I feel that something got broken inside somewhere and I am not sure he'll become the one he used to be.
