One judge had it for Mayol, but two judges had it about how I thought it was.

What's better, watching Mayol again somehow headbutt a man 5 inches shorter than him to lose a decision or watch Calderon go up against more likely threat like Edgar Sosa or Brian Viloria?

Is Mayol b*tching like he did after the first fight again?

I think Calderon was winning this one convincingly enough, and the clash of styles makes it somewhat ugly to watch. So, I don't care too much about a rematch. The heads must have clashed about 10 times over several rounds. Mayol was only managing to land occasionally here and there and Calderon looked better than last time out.

No more rematches, time for some new meat. Though if Mayol can win a couple of fights and force Calderon into another fight a year or so down the line then why not. Calderon would have to start slowing down sometime.

But for the time being, I have had my fill of this pairing.

It's the same place where Calderon got his gift win against Cazares in there first fight. And it's the same place where there rematch was conveniently stopped as Cazares was coming on, despite Calderon's blood not being anywhere close into getting into his eyes.
Cazares/Calderon I was a close fight and I (who am never one to score a fight for the hometown guy just cause he's the hometown guy) had Calderon winning by 2 points, and in the rematch IMO Calderon was outboxing Cazares a lot easier than the first, and it wasn't any Robert Guerrero cut either
Calderon went down twice in the 8th round. Yet for some reason the Puerto Rican referee didn't call one of them. The 10-7 round would of won him the fight.

And your right that the cut was not like Guerrero's. It was on his forehead. The blood would not of got into his eyes. He could of fought on. Just like today

kinda like what happend tonight. calderons cut was on his forehead not anywhere near his eyes and calderon was playing the bull all night.

Martinez might be more entertaining but Calderon is the better all around more skilled fighter, although i like Rocky, i think his chin will give out against Guerrero, he was wobbled pretty damn bad against Cook and Cook has nothing on Guerrero when it comes to anything lol
In my post I wasn't mentioning "skill," so I am not sure why you would bring that up. Martinez's vulnerability makes his fights exciting and although Calderon has better defensive skills, I was bored to death watching his fight last night. Good defense, little offense. At least Whitaker and Mayweather were/are more offensive minded than Iron Boy.

If you have seen MANY of Martinez's fights like I have, you will know that Rocky has never, ever been hurt when he has gone down (he didn't even go down against Cook!). In fact, I compare those knockdowns to most of Trinidad's in his career-the flash knockdown variety. Win or lose, I believe that whoever Martinez fights at 130, the fight will be exciting.
