I don't see any problem with this, the first fight was exciting so why not, that being said I don't think a rematch was really necessary, I thought Pascal outboxed, outworked him, even outpunched him, but why not, do it again. Maybe Diaconu can catch him and follow up.

This I assume was just clearly the biggest money fight out there for both since its a big fight in Canada.

Actually, Pascal got wobbled more or less 2 times, if you consider that Diaconu didn't fight for something like almost 2 years due to various contingencies, he wasn't at his best. Sure, Pascal seems to have a load of gifts elsewhere where Diaconu might not have them but Diaconu is indeed a very good boxer with a good speed and thunder in both hands; Keep in mind that Dawson was shit scared to fight him to the point of going in person to Sulaiman's house to beg for avoiding that fight.
Next time will be much different I think and even if Pascal would win more rounds, it will be a lot tighter I am certain.
He fought 2 months prior to the Pascal fight. He went 8 full rounds. There was no ring rust. He was just out of his league.

And to think Dawson would be afraid of Diaconu is hilarious. Dawson gave up the WBC title in order to make the Tarver fight happen. Not only is Tarver twice the fighter Diaconu is but fighting Tarver brought Dawson 7 figures. Diaconu would of brought him 5 figures.

The guy he fought 2 months before is a guy called David Witthom who's the biggest tomato can you can ever dream of. Not even a decent guy enough to shake off anything and prior to that, his last fight was a year before.
Second, for Dawson, it didn't happen like that; Dawson did drop his title because he didn't want to fight Diaconu, even Gary Shaw mentioned it in an interview as it was seen as pointless, it made a big history over here, especially as before that, Dawson went to Sulaiman in person in Mexico to beg him to not make Diaconu his mandatory opponent, which Sulaiman didn't listen to (he's an old dumbfuck but has been ok for that one). unfortunately, Diaconu injured himself, delaying the fight and then Dawson took another optional defense and ran away because apparently, money/risk, Diaconu was a very very bad compromise.
I never said that Diaconu would beat Dawson, I just sums up the fact that Dawson ducked him and didn't want to fight him, dot.

Fight Prediction Leagues > Dawson ducks Diaconu, stripped of title.

p.s: The ducking thing started, as I stated, PRE-Tarver and PRE Diaconu's injury.

Tending to agree pal. I was really excited to see Pascal in against Diaconu and downloaded it soon as I could. I'd watched a few of his fights before Froch and was intrigued, then after the Froch fight he earned respect IMO. Definately think he's got some good match-ups in him aginst the top fighters. Only thing is, hopefully he doesn't get knocked out being careless against Diaconu in the rematch like he almost did in their first fight...

Tomato can or not he still fought 2 months prior. And went 8 full rounds. Rust was not an excuse. Cuz he wasn't rustly. He was just outclassed.

And quoting some poster from some obscure forum doesn't count ass proof.

Completely agree, there's nothing official. You have to ask the most obvious question.

Why would a man willing to take on Tomasz Adamek, Glen Johnson twice & Antonio Tarver be afraid of fighting Diaconu, whose best wins were over a Rico Hoye who was ruined by Clinton Woods & Chris Henry, who is a capable fighter but nowhere near championship level. Seriously why?

There ain't no reason. I don't know about some of these posters. Can they not see the foolishness of even suggesting Dawson ducked Diaconu? Diaconu is like a midget compared to Dawson. Every advantage belongs to Dawson. He would toy with him until the ref or corner stopped it. Really for Dawson to face Diaconu would be a step backwards for him
