Berto's biggest problem is he doesn't move well and he when starts to brawl he squares up(probably from watching too much Mike Tyson, but at least Tyson moved to the side). Mosley's biggest problem is that he's choppy, and doesn't box like a technical boxer, but he also can't do the amazing physical things ROy JOens and Mayweather can do despite his speed and strength, but Mosley's durability, speed and strength give him a unique oppertunity to load up on punches and get away with it, he has pretty good defensive skills, but he doesn't need to because his chin is impenetrable, and he is very fast so he gets away with most of his mistakes against most opponents.
you basically said the same thing about Dirrell, and although i thought he beat Froch, where were all these amazing combos that you said he would put together, same as Berto, he throws a couple of barking shots and is already fatigued by the 9th
Gotta disagree there man, Berto showed great stamina & resilience to pick up the last 2 rounds in the Collazo fight. I know some had it for Collazo, but for me, Berto needed those last 2 & he took them well, especially considering the pace the fight had been fought at. I think Dirrell won & is a potentially very good fighter, but Berto has a lot more for me, I don't think anyone who saw the Collazo fight could question his heart.
Collazo had already pushed mosley and hatton over 12rounds with both taking close decisions and i fully expected the same with this. Berto had to show a hell of a lot of courage in those last few rounds as he was losing the fight and could quite easily of lost the plot. Instead he went back to basics, stopped trying to knock his man out instead he used his superior boxing skills and in my eyes as well just nicked a decision.

Mosley struggled with luis also. This fight for me is won and lost on bertos ability to dominate with the jab over whether mosley can effectively pick his moments to counter berto and take him out as i dont think he can win a decision

Hatton/Collazo and Berto/Collazo was a close decision but Mosley/Collazo was not a close decision. Re-watch that fight.

    Mosley got this.

Berto may cause Mosley problems with his speed but if Mosley lands on that chin enough, Berto is going down.

Mosley by TKO in 8 rounds.

Berto to me could just pull off an upset against Mosley. He has a much more awkward style to Margarito. Lets face it Margarito beat Cotto because he was cheating, the more I think about it the clearer it becomes, I mean he broke his nose early and it was a bad break. He didn't even seem to hit him that clean to do it either, then Cotto still outclassed him for round after round and was still ahead when the fight ended IMO. But something was draining Cotto every time Marg hit him and being a betting man I would put money on that Tony had stone gloves on in that fight.

Anyway back to this fight, Mosley before Tony looked poor against Mayorga but now people think he is rejuvinated due to a great win over the cheat, saying that Berto by all accounts (I haven't seen the fight) was lucky to get the W against Collazo who a "younger" Mosley quite easily beat. But styles make fights and I don't think Mosley is still the man for taking on awkward hungry fighters like Berto. Very interesting one for me but I think i'd go Berto.

Have you actually seen the Mosley - Collazo fight? It wasn't close at all.

I am a fan of both fighter and would prefer them to stay a way from each other. I thought and hope Berto was going to give Collazo a rematch. Shane should have a warm up and then fight Mayweather.

i watched the unanimous decision commentary HBO gave him

Then i watched it in real time without the commentary and realised it was a hell of a lot closer than the final scorecards!

Really? I only watched it once, but from what I recall it wasn't even competitive after the 2nd or 3rd round, which is where Collazo says he broke his hand.

same here, i've seen it more than once and i felt that after the 4th round it was pretty much all Mosley, Berto/Collazo and Hatton/Collazo were close, i actually had Collazo winning both

I got Mosley all day against Berto, unless Berto holds him into a submission.

Mosley looked rejuvenated against Tony. Sure, Margo is a cheat and all that...but the man has a granite chin...and Shane out powered him. I think switching to Nazim Richardson as a trainer, laying off the weights...has given Shane some more fluidity and pop on his punches. Berto will be tough. But i see Shane's experience and toughness get him throw this fight.

Mosley-Collazo a close decision, this has got to be a wind up Collazo didn't do anything after the second round, even Luis Collazo doesn't think that fight was close.

No, Mosley/Collazo wasn't close at all. Collazo seemed on autopilot throughout the fight, probably because he hurt his hand like he said.
