    Default Arce-Angkota webcast, www.wbcboxing.tv

WBCBoxing.tv will present a live boxing webcast on Saturday. It is free of charge – everyone is invited to watch. The webcast will begin at 10:30 P.M. (22:30 hrs) Central Standard Time, and will last approximately two hours. Supporting bouts will be shown in addition to the main event. This webcast not available in Mexico or the United States, however the card can be seen on television. Headlining this Saturday’s show at the Restaurante Arroyo in Mexico City, Jorge “Travieso” Arce, 52-6-1 with 40 knockouts, of Los Mochis, Mexico, will battle Angky Angkota, 18-3 with 9 knockouts, of Semarang, Indonesia, in a 12-round super flyweight fight.

Jackie “La Princesa Azteca” Nava, 20-3-2 with 10 knockouts, of Tijuana, Mexico, will also be featured on the card in a 10-round fight for the WBC female interim super bantamweight world title against Shantel Martinez, 8-3 with 1 knockout, of David, Panama.

A 10-round featherweight fight between Eduardo “Canila” Escobedo, 26-3 with 19 knockouts, of Mexico City, and Joksan “El Torito” Hernandez, 17-1 with 10 knockouts, of Enseneda, Mexico, will also be on the card.
WBC President José Sulaiman said today, “Jorge Arce has announced that he is nearing the end of his career. He was a WBC champion for many years and one of Mexico’s most popular and exciting fighters. Jorge said that this fight will be his last if he loses, but if he wins, he will have one more fight before retiring.

“Jackie Nava is one of the most outstanding female boxers, and was the first female champion of the world for the WBC. She is making her last voluntary defense before a mandatory fight against the champion, Marcela Acuna of Argentina, for the undisputed WBC female super bantamweight world title.”

The World Boxing Council is committed to webcast live boxing every Saturday night for the first six months of 2010. In the event that there is not a live show, webcasts of previous fightcards will be re-shown. After the first six months of 2010, plans will be made for the second half of the year.
