    Excuses.

It's virtually impossible to get a fair contest in boxing.

Hometown robbery, dodgy refs, dodgy judges, too old, too young, wrong weight class, trainers fault, bad training camps, loaded gloves, steroid cheat, wrong socks... it never ends

I dunno about just 1 sanctioning body, but how about 2 that work together.

I kind of like unification bouts, personally. What I DON'T like is the "WBA Super world champs" and the "WBA regular interim world champ", etc etc

IMO there should only be one champ per division. Who's the Heavyweight champ? Depends on which body you ask. There should only be one answer to that question. Just my opinion of course.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Sponsors that give big money to the sport are not an easy thing to get rid of.

they can be relegated to the ring apron rather than having them inside the ring. let's have a wider ring apron to make them happy. they're still very visible out there. boxer's health should be the top priority.

Going realistic (Because sanctioning bodies are not going anywhere at least not for a while)

Incompetent Ref's is big...IMO Ref's should have to face review after every fight by some sort of commission...Check tape for fairness, partiality etc.....

EG- Marlon Wright is one.....The fool from Saturday is another.....

Painted ads on the canvas are a problem as well they need to have another way top incorporate the logos on the canvas for sure but this has been a problem for years now and the idiots still ignore it....

They should stick the logos on the referees uniform. Those guys are clowns, might as well make it look proper. I hate advertising in general. It is a disgusting concept.

This is a no-brainer!!! Incompetent refs, of course! No one likes the ads, especially when all they do is serve as slippery traps for unsuspecting fighters. (Hell... I'd spit on one of those things if I ever slipped on one. Come to think of it, wouldn't that be a cool thing to see?). Got sidetracked there...

But incompetent refs do more damage to boxing than any of us can ever know. It turns off veteran boxing fans... but probably turns AWAY the "starting out" boxing fan. Incompetent refs should be permanently banned from the sport, I say.

the abraham-dirrell fight has it all. slippery ads, incompetent ref, incompetent ring physician. all ingredients of a disastrous boxing fight.

i'm all for it but it's very difficult to implement, close to impossible with all these abc boxing organizations proliferating around.

I voted for weeding out incompetent refs, but I had this same thought. Surely in this day and age of technological wonders, someone could figure out a way put those ads on the canvas in a way that doesn't become slippery when wet?!

Hell, it could be reduced immensely if they would just refrain from putting any ads in the fighters corners. It seems that's where shit happens so often, because of all the water they use on the fighters. Duh!
