Mine would have to be a poached Gull's egg on pan fried brioche with foie gras and bacon lardons , with a salsify salad.![]()
Beef can be very expensive here, especially if you are buying Korean beef. 100 grammes of a good cut can set you back about 6 US dollars going on the current exchange rate. But you can buy cheaper than that if you buy american or australian beef. It can still be quite pricey though, I buy 3 kilos of american sirloin every two months which costs about 90 dollars but it's very good meat.
I'm not sure if burgers are more expensive than in other countries. I don't think so though. McDonalds uses australian beef here and a big mac set costs about 6 US dollars so I think its probably quite similar.
I'm quite liking the range of options Mick listed as well. You have a lot of variety over there which I envy a bit. The quick meal options are quite limited out here really.

I had Panda Express today, a Panda Bowl which is 1 entree and 1 side for like $4, it's not bad. I always hear Panda Express is the most unhealthy but I noticed the Broccoli beef, which is all I get (the honey walnut shrimp looks good), is on the under 230 calorierealls per serving menu, which is nice.
Dickies BBQ is actually surprisingly good but it takes a bit long. Carls Jr. far and away has the best burgers. They have better burgers then a lot of restaurants, seriously They call Carl's Jr's Hardees in the East but I'm not sure the menus match up completely. I remember Hardees having breakfast which I don't think Carl's Jrs has a lot of.
Sonic I miss from being on the east coast except they just built a couple exits up the freeway.
McDonalds I have occasionally when I take the bus to school I stop at McDonalds and either get a mcchicken with ketchup only. Lately though I've got the snack wraps with ranch with grilled chicken.
Burger King, never. I just never go not since like freshman year of high school or the last time they had that italian chicken sandwich.
In N Out is the shit but not everyday. All they have is burgers and really only one or 2 types but they are great. It's the cleanest by far and the way they make the fries out of the potato in front of you is pretty cool.

Haven't ate at McDonald for almost 17 years, same with Burger King, Wendys must be 10 years now or something and KFC, over 20 years...and I plan to still go free of all of them for the next 20 years. Normally, when I want fast food, I go to "chez Henry" when I am in Joliette, my hometown in Canada as they make damn good burgers and the best poutine ever. While in Lux, I occasionally go for a kebab, there is 2 very reliable places where they are quite good in town and where I kind of trust the quality. Other than that, take away from vietnamese or chinese restaurants, we have some mighty decent ones here or as almost always, I cook my stuff myself![]()

KFC Double Down Sandwich: No Bread, No Sandwich? |
that looks like just about the most heart attack inducing thing I've ever seen. Who needs bread?
540 calories? Really? That seems like about 2000 calories too low.
It's not available in Canada yet, at least in our part. But I get wood every time I read about it or see a pic of that greasy chicken bun sammich. I'm purdy sure if it was dressed in spandex and working out in my gym, and I was riding a stationary bike...I'd still get wood.
