    Default Thank you Floyd

For as long as i can recall, my friends and boxing pundits alike, have been doubting you. I never did. To saddoboxing posters, i know i dont post very much, please dont hold it against me (i prefer to read). I always knew that PBF was the man, and now hes proved himself. I couldnt be happier.

Anytime you dominate another 1b-4-lber like that, its an extraordinary performance. Add to that the fact that the domination had a little drama. PBF was caught twice in the 2nd, his legs buckled by the naturally larger man, and yet he remained cool while making adjustments.

The way he's is able to come back and dominate fights in later rounds, like he did against zab, demonstrates what a great boxing intellectual he is. He's literally figuring his opponent out. Granted this is not as exciting as the knockout artist, but it really is food for the gourmand...for those who appreciate the subtlties.

On top of that he pulled a little SRL vs Duran I, ie going toe-2-toe with a legendary brawler. I know, it doesn't quite fit, it wasn't a brawl, but right in front of Mosley stood PBF the whole fight as the steroid-enabling Larry merchant begrudgedly offered praise. but in truth, not unlike sweet pea, PBF has long done this. he is one of the few fighters in history who can literally stand in front of someone--Benny leonard also comes to mind--and yet not be hit. thats why his d-1st style is so compelling. he doesn't run, he doesn't clinch. he makes you miss.

but tonight is was even more obvious as he went up against a large and dangerous opponant who appearred to age overnight but was really just outclassed. PBF was simultaneously making the point that he can go toe-2-toe with anyone, without actually going toe-to-toe.

He had his cake and ate it too.

In addition to silencing the idiots who ignored his demolition of the fearsome Diego Corrales at 130 in order question his heart, PBF will go down in history as the fighter who contributed to the health of boxers. He did so by insisting on a regimen of drug testing that made use of PEDs detectable. His critics will go doan in history as a bunch of morons incapable of priortizing intelligent formulations over primitive hate.
