Would beating Maidana make up for it? Because it's likely he won't fight Prescott.
Yes beating Marcos Rene Maidana would make up for it, he hits just as hard if not harder than Breidis Prescott. And he holds a version of a world title, so yes beating a puncher like Marcos Rene Maidana. Would answer alot of questions for me.

But it would be nice if at some point he could revenge that loss, just to say he has beaten every man he has faced. Obviously as i said beating Marcos Rene Maidana is just as good if not better, but its just nice to have the luxury. Of rubbing off that one bad loss.
I agree, just can't see it happening.

He doesn't need to fight Prescott again, he just needs to show he can beat a guy that can really punch. Maidana would do, after he beats him some would just say he beat a slow, crude guy but I think overall he'd get more credit.

Can you stop keep him calling him Marcos Rene Maidana, just Maidana will do.

from the responses, i deduce amir is 2 to 3 impressive wins away from becoming the darling of uk boxing fans. right now he's more of a floyd jr uk version. good boxing skills but brash outside the ring.

I wouldn't deduce that from this thread. He might become the most well known but I think in terms of affection people will always go for down to earth guys like Mitchell, Murray, Moore et al.

2 things, either he becomes the darling of uk boxing fans or the uk version of floyd jr.

I think Miles would still be writing his vitriolic little pieces about how overrated he is even were he to be considered the greatest of all time.

I have a long way to go before I have posters of him on my wall like Miles does thats for sure
miles do have this photo of amir on his wall (originally sent to model leanne crow)

You no what ICE I think if Khan is looking to get a fight in quick before end of July Presscott is ideal, I was thinking that when he said July I was thinking fuck me thats only 10/11 weeks away, but I think he should fight Prescott and put that fight to bed.

Just read Paulie in an interview on ESPN say in his career he has been beat by two world class fighters Cotto and Khan, no mention of Hatton. He does seem to give no credit to Hatton for that victory whatsoever, does everyone else think it was soley down to Paulie having a rough patch with McGirt? I think Paulie is a very honest guy and says it how it is but I think he is very harsh on Hatton in this fight not giving him any credit whatsover, I think Hatton would of been too much for any version of Paulie.
