    Default Andre Berto

If Pacquiao doesn't fight Mayweather he should fight Berto. I mean if he can fight someone like Clottey why can he fight someone like Berto? He a undefeated champ and stlyes make fights. I'd be excited to see it

I think Berto/Pac would be a good fight.....I dont see any way Berto beats Pac though. Berto is a small welter who is hittable. I think Pac would win by KO7. But I think it is a fight that makes sense.

I absolutely agree. If Mayweather and Pac don't work out I think either guy should fight Berto. Even though they both would beat Berto. If Mayweather and Pac can't agree then we might as well have Mayweather/Berto and Pac/Mosley. Mosley is still the next best thing.

I think Berto/Pac would be a fun match up, I think if Pac and Mayweather is not made there maybe a possibility for this fight, but we all no Bob will be looking to milk all he can by putting two Top Rank fighters together.

I would like to see Berto/Bradley me that would be a great scrap, I would prefer Bradley to sort out 140 but if he was to fight again at 147 would be a decent scrap, did these two fight as ams does anyone no? Sure I heard they did?

Yeah Berto beat him as an amateur a couple times if not more. Berto is one loss away from moving to 140 anyways, even though he turned pro at middleweight. I would suggest it happen before the loss as he will get mince meat made of him against Pac/Mayweather/Mosley imo. Too crude for those guys.

Pac should retire if he does not fight Floyd (or move to light middle).

I think Berto should stay away from Pacquiao, for now. Take a fight against Mosley or Clottey then move onto the big fights!

I think Berto is a good fighter and the only thing he lacks is a shot of inspiration to get him going. Who has he fought that put a bomb under his rump.

He needs to do something.I think he's in career limbo of a sort.He has glaring flaws but marketability, flash with good hands and a nice enough story but runs the risk of being 'caught' going through the second level stage while waiting for breakout name status fight. Its sink or swim time already!!His flaws have become pattern and not being forced to change and improve now.....wont have that luxury vs the very best when the fists are flying.I think Mayweather would toy with him....Pac would be good for a while but Berto has not faced anything resembling that level and pressing demand and Pac down the middle would have a field day with square & lurching Berto.Mosley would still be a solid fight and I think Mosley still upends him late in fight.Mosley tried to box and outspeed Mayweather after hurting him badly, dont think Berto survives that 2nd round frankly and Mosley knows as do we all,Bertos no Mayweather.

man screw pac man and mayweather.... fans like you are the reason boxers dont get a chance. Styles makes fights and this guy wants to fight the best and putting an effort forward is as good as it gets. Shit people look at hit flaws and write him off like he doesn't have a title. Pac beat clottey WOW everyone who reads this would've rather seen Pac vs Berto no doubt. Even if he lost that fight if he suddenly stood a chance people would think different. But my thing is when will hard working young boxers get there chance? shit Khan just fought and he's fighting in july then the next boxer wanna wait damn near 1yr and a half? that what make boxing gay you chase the famous and dont get road dogs a chance.

Man...hit a nerve?Calm down with the fans like me generalities and listen to the otherside when putting forth a topic, cool?

**News** Berto had his big chance and walked away from it vs Mosley....who Mayweather gladly took and dominated.Regardless of reasoning....Berto was handed a HUGE career oppurtunity and walked the other direction!THAT was extensivly his cjance to "win" title on a real championship level.Him having a title or trinket doesnt mean nattas especially when his grooming up until very recently has been more than generous in exposure and level of comp....note I said recently. That poor Berto being suppressed dont wash. He's been treated very generous and is still very green in many ways.
