Reality might have sunken in & he's realized that Wlad is gonna smoke his ass & he needs to make all the cash he can because after November the 11th, 2006 Briggs will be knocked back into obscurity.

I'll bet money he sustains some bullshat injury in his next fight to get out of fighting Wlad.

    Wait & see.

I think Teddy atlas was Brigg's trainer for a while, said Shannon had no heart and dumped him...Shannon claimed the whole while he's been asthmatic...either way, weighing 270 doesn't help your "heart" or your asthma....

Because he says he wants to blow everybody away and knock them out. But I warn him at 220 he could at least switch gears and go to boxing when the guy wouldn't stand in front of him. But at 270 he is taking away his dimentions.

Reality might have sunken in & he's realized that Wlad is gonna smoke his a** & he needs to make all the cash he can because after November the 11th, 2006 Briggs will be knocked back into obscurity.

Surely Briggs would be making some serious wodge fighting Wlad, so why would he back out of it. He goes in, defends, loses as he knows he will. Goes to the bank with a big dumb grin on his face then heads off to Hawaii with some bermuda shorts and a loud shirt.

Klitschko proves that even the #4 contender has nothing on him, Briggs gets a pension. Everyone's a winner.

Yeah kinda like Vitali did before fighting Rahman, I mean cancelling the fight three times, then retiring. After defending his title a whopping ONE time. Listen Briggs is fightin way too heavy, and much like Wlad has an IFFY to Glass chin. But he is a good boxer and a pretty good fighter. When he fights Wlad I would hope he has enuff sense to get down to least 240, or if he insists in comin in heavy, he best nail Wlad on the chin b4 Wlad nails him. Both men possess the power to knock the other unconscious that is for sure. I doubt Briggs will fake an injury to get out of making mucho money and possibly becoming a world champ.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Tua is only 33 , if he can get his hunger back, and train hard I think he could be a force in this lacklustre h w division. Hopefully 2 or 3 tuneups this year then , Toney Rahman, and finish with big wlady. (Well i can dream!!!).

teddy atlas said shannon had no heart,i just think his heart was'nt into hard work and he lacked focus,i watched the lewis vs briggs fight last night and the way briggs got up after being put on his arse showed me he had heart.i think he shares the same disease as audley they both talk a good game but dont want to put the work in,shannon says he was out partying and not training when he was younger but he takes training seriously now, back against lewis he looked big and only weighed 228 i cant see how he can be in better shape now he's 40 pounds heavier unless he plans to only fight 4 rounders like butterbean!!
