David Haye is the only person who will take out his glass jaw once and for all. Wladimir won't want to go near a boxing ring ever again once that fukking right Hayemaker lands on his chin.
too bad he wont sign on the dotted line to take Wlad on huh?!?, especially when the Challenger (Haye) thinks he's too good for a 50/50 split contract without a rematch clause against the lineal champ

but as the first Peter fight showed, exposing his glass chin doesn't mean you'll win.
especially when Peter mostly landed bombs to the back of Wlads head

    1. Not to downplay what Monte accomplished but David Tua hasn't exactly been burning it up in the division recently.

    2. Like Sam Peter, Monte Barrett is also still better than Audley Harrison.

    3. Hornfinger, Sam Peter has lost to a roided up James Toney, Vitali Klitschko, and Eddie Chambers whom had the perfect style to beat him...what's the shame in that? Audley Harrison lost to Michael Sprott (is that right or was it Matt Skelton, I get them confused), Dominick Guinn, and Martin Rogan...they haven't been all that great recently have they?

And to repeat myself for those too ignorent to read my last post....

David Haye. He's the only fight any one wants to see.... BUT while that fight isn't happening we shouldn't be trying to convince ourselves that peter or whoever are going to make for a good competetive fight.

i'm not exactly filling the forum with posts saying how great an opponant Audley is for Haye.

    1. The IBF ranking only matters because it makes Sam Peter a mandatory.

    2. The Chicken Little fight may be the fight everyone wants to see but if 50/50 isn't getting the fight signed then I highly doubt we'll see it, so much for "tearing through the heavyweight division" huh?

Let's try to leave emotions out of this. Fact is, most of the boxing world fans would rather see a Wlad-Haye fight than any other matchup at this time. Careers tend to be rather short in boxing (well... except for the rash of "has-beens" that insist on fighting WAY beyond their prime). Let's put it another way: PRIMES tend to be rather short in boxing. Another fact: Haye has called out Wlad to the point of insults and personal attacks. Wlad finally took the bait and said: "Ok, let's get it on." (Well... he also said something about making his face into a pizza, but we must remember that trash-talking is not exactly Wlad's forte). For a brief moment in time, we were all excited about seeing a HW fight with huge fanbase attraction and lots of grudges being brought into the ring.

BUT THEN...... all the excuses start coming out. And you know what, whether you're a Haye fan, or a Wlad fan, or just plain neutral.... it sounds too much like the kid who insults the school bully from the safety of the school bus window, only to find himself face-to-face with the bully in the playground and then saying he can't fight 'cause the playground is not well lit enough, or maybe it just rained and the ground's too mushy right now.

If you're going to talk the talk, you'd better be damn well prepared to walk the walk. Plain and simple. No emotion, no regional preferences involved... just the facts. Hey, I can understand the Haye fans being excited about their fighter. He's good, no doubt about that. And a match with Wlad could have some very interesting moments. (And I don't say this about many HW fights nowadays). But when you defend the indefensible, you lose credibility. You'd be respected a bit more if you admitted that Haye could be making a better effort to actually making the fight.

    Just my opinion, of course.

    boxing politics mate

Haye doesnt want either klits, wlad and especially vitali would take the haye fight tommorow even if it meant doing it in england.

Povetkin has bottled out just like haye did because he essentially realises that not getting beat represents value for money in your lesser known fights
    one dangerous horrible bloke

I haven't seen Wladimir Klitschko vs Samuel Peter 1 for quite sometime, but as i remember it Wladimir Klitschko basically dominated Samuel Peter. And the only rounds he lost were the rounds he got knocked down in. And only one of those knockdowns were really legit.

Its not a bad alternative, but then again it has no excitement value to me. Because there is no sense of danger of Wladimir Klitschko losing.

Im not saying i want him to lose, what im saying is that when there is that sense of danger. It makes the fight more interesting/exciting to watch. Knowing anything could happen.

And all that will happen here is that Wladimir Klitschko will constantly jab the slow plodding Samuel Peter. And stop him late on or win 12 rounds to 0.

Question for Lyle and the other big Wlad fans - when was the last time he stopped someone in under 5 rounds? It would be nice to see him knock out someone earlier.

If YOUR BOY ever decides to fight Wlad I'm sure he (and you) will find that out the hard way

Are you excited about the Audley Harrison fight?

Nothing has been officially announced yet, but when asked about it I think he doth protest too much and he has been talking trash about Harrison for a while, I think it'll happen.

I love how Chicken Little has never fought a dangerous heavyweight and yet people are sold on him to beat Wladimir.....its laughable

Hi Lyle, been away for a while but now i'm back and glad to see you haven't changed one bit.

Personally I think Haye is waiting to see if Adamek beats Grant and if he does I think that will be Hayes next fight. I've noticed Adam Booth keeps bringing Adamek up whenever he's interviewed. Can't personally see the Harrison fight happening but if it does i have to admit i'll be disappointed in Haye.
