Thumbs up Looks like Pac's camp have been listening to ICB...

Ariza will be adding swimming to Pacquiao’s training regimen

Alex Ariza, the strength and conditioning coach for Manny Pacquiao, plans on having Pacquiao add swimming to his training regimen, according to Ronnie Nathanielsz at INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos. Ariza says “I believe there is no better conditioning plan than to hit the pool.” Well, I hope they have a good lifeguard on the scene at all times, because Pacquiao looked like he was floundering in the water like a little sinking ship in his swimming scenes from the HBO Pacquiao-Cotto 24/7 series.

Im training to be a lifeguard, so maybe they can offer me the job.

But seriously why not ? swimming is one of the best exercises you can do. It works your entire body, and it stretches those muscles beyond belief.

Sounds like a good idea, swimming is a good all round work out for the body. Why not add it to pad out the training?

Who was it on this forum that was a really, really good swimmer and couldn't get KOed by MP because of it? That was a great thread
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

I think people are forgetting what was said, i never said i wouldn't be KO'ed. I said i could maybe last 3 rounds, because i have a big height/reach advantage. I used swimming as an example as "part of my workout" but then people just went overboard.

But whatever i don't know why this guy, keeps bringing it up. I don't know the purpose of it is, other than try to take the piss out of ICB. But it doesn't bother me, he doesn't know me personally. He doesn't know what im capable of.

Seriously though, Wladimir Klit incoroporates swimming into his regimen because of its cardio benefits and also due to the fact the it has less stress on the joints than jogging...etc.
