Immaterial now but once again Owen Hargreaves was immense, as were Ferdinand and Terry.

Arron Lennon has by far been the best player for us in my opinion, very underrated.

And fuck Ronaldo, the rosy cheeked cunt!

The reaction to Lennon coming on was unbelievable, He immediately set about the Portugese and had them back on their heels, it was shortly after that that Beckham started to cry, he knew his number was up.

I cant stand Ronaldo either, but we didnt lose because of him.

I'd love to see you not step on some one lying down behind you that you didn't know was there using one foot whilst your weight is already traveling backwards...

What do you think this is? The matrix? :P

You can moan about it al you like but he did stand on his bollocks, it wasnt the most violent of stamps, but it looked intentional to me. And of course he knew he was there, he had been wrestling with his for 30 seconds prior.

The Ref wasnt the reason we lost, but he was certainly over biased.

WHAT FUCKING FIFA TWAT PUT AN ARGIE CREW IN CHARGE OF AN ENGLAND GAME?!?!?!?!? ARE THEY FUCKING SERIOUS!!

Knew we werent winning soon as I noticed that. No way he was gonna let us win (the lennon non penalty, the carragher penalty bollox).

Why has there only ever been one decent referee at International level? How can they all be incompotent or biased bastards!?)

The tackle on Lennon was a good one, I screamed penalty just like everyone else, but the replay showed it was good. Carragher went before the whistle, end of.

I thought Crouch was excellent again, came on to do a thankless job, made lots of ball stick and caused one or two problems, cant ask no more than that given the circumstances. We should have gone 4-4-2 when Beckham came off and let Rooney play his game.

no we weren't good enough and it took being down to ten men to produce one of our most courageous performances for almost an hour - thought we actually deserved better

our penalty history places so much extra pressure on our boys that I can't see us ever winning one again.....

He got lennon before he got the ball, if he didnt take lennon he would of never got to the ball. And i hear a whistle for definite when i go back on Sky + whether it was a fans whistle or what i dont know. But it goes and carragher turns round that split second (its slightly obscured by Motson)

Sven's England are only good for valiant defending, blood and guts heroics, 'our boys', bulldog spirit, heads held high.

Bollocks, they were boring, one dimensional dn lacked any sort of pace and penetration up front.

A real disappointment. Thank fuck we don't have to watch the namy-pamby poofs diving and rolling around for another four years.

As usual England put in an heroic rear guard reaction and we are all meant to be happy...

According to the FA 2006 was meant to be the year...

    Beckham was not good enough.

Terry, Lampard and Gerrard left their club form at home.

    Robinson was not himself.

Hargreaves and Crouch tried their damnedest, but they are simply not good enough to do the jobs they were asked to do.

    Rooney was clearly not fit.

But the real criticism belongs to the management. They were simply not up to the job, and it is a deep concern that a big part of that team is taking over as manager...
