Some may view it as chickening out though. It was a fight in the pipeline for a while and when it finally came Wharton called it quits. Its certainly summat I remember about him when I look back. Whether he was scared or not is another question but the same goes for Collins and Calzaghe. Whether he likes it or not he backed out of a fight so people are going to form opinions on why.
That is harsh considering he went against the best and certainly better fighters than Crawford.
Crawford went in with Nunn who is arguably better than anyone Wharton shared the ring with
For christ sake, hes saying that Benn, Eubank and Reid are better fighters than Ashley. Not better fighters than whoever kicked Ashleys ass.

Id take Eubank over Nunn any day. Eubank beat Rocchigiani comfortably when he was unbeaten and in Germany but Nunn lost to him and Nunn fought him after hed lost to Eubank then Maske Twice and Michalczewski.
. . . . and im saying Crawford had shared the ring with better than Wharton, spaz boy.

Dont wana run Henry down cuz he is a nice bloke but he was never that good in the 1st place. Nardiello was the divisions punchbag and he had Henry on the deck so I think his chin is over rated. Just calling it how I see it. I think Ashely would have had him and Wharton knew it too and thats why he called it quits.
Yeah and got knocked out......twat face

Wharton couldnt even beat Lou Gent in Leeds so he can't be that great!! Remember that next time youre jerking off over him

The super middleweight division has only been around for about 20 years and I'm 12 stone, I reckon I could sneak in at 19 or 20 (lol)
Agreed but don't tell that to Ross. You'll hurt his feelings

Wharton lost to Benn, Eubanks which is not disgraceful but losing to Reid was his best chance. I do not think you could have pulled it off either.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
