Chips are fucking ridiculous. Amat's probably afraid of them.
Yes, they are really, really hard and I've still got my ceramic braces on! Not easy to eat at all. I'm no yuppie and eat them because Costco does them in bulk size and even they are better than Korean crisps. Still, it makes me yearn for English crisps because they are a far superior product and there is great variety too. I'm glad to see I am not alone in my distaste of Kettle crisps. So, not all American crisps are like that? It's only Kettle?

Nice food pictures BTW. I like a good steak too and have a nice big one about once a week. I am also partial to good barbecued or fried chicken, but tend to go with barbecued because it's a bit healthier. Both taste great though. And ribs are tasty as hell, but can't eat them until my teeth are done. Far too difficult. Will have a lot of them after christmas.

It seems the majority of our stateside members aren't really big fans of crisps. This just confirms it for me, they haven't tried ours. Walkers are the Daddy! Anyone seen their recent ad with Lionel Richie and Lineker? Seriously funny.

Someone asked where our Cadbury's is made, I'm presuming it's made at their HQ in Birmingham, just down the road from me. You can take a tour of the factory but for some reason I never have.

For sure, one of the things I miss is the great selection of confectionary and crisps. All those flavours and different tastes. Just wonderful. I spend too much money ordering online and getting it shipped out, but it's one of the only things that keeps me sane. If I had to live this weird life and be deprived of snacks and foods too, I would be a lot worse than I am now. It's not good to be deprived of too many comforts. Even a working man needs to look forward to a pie and a pint after a long days work. For me it's a bit of curry and bar of chocolate every now and then. You just can't find those kinds of foods out here. Well, you can buy chocolate but it's a cheap impersonation of chocolate and I just won't eat it. The curry is just this awful Japanese muck. Not curry at all.

It honestly sounds like the brits haven't had our chips and OumaFan doesn't like chips and is the only American on Earth who doesn't.

What chips/crisps do you have? Costco out here only sells these damn Kettle things. I'm telling you, you could make solid buildings with these things! Like bricks.

I'm pretty sure that Lays & Walkers are the same

I think my favorite crisps are Mcoys. But i do love the healthier options too... Tesco do theses dried rice and peas type chip sticks that are unbelievably addictive.

Really hate ready salted, use to put vinegar in them to make them taste better if they were the only flavour in the house.

I don't really hate chips. I just think they're kind of blah and never really eat them. I've decided to be like Lyle and be outraged about bizarre shit so I'm outraged about chips now.

I do hate kettle chips though.

Dorito's original are alright, but not keen on any of the other flavours. I also like twiglets, my wife thinks they are rancid, but I've always had a soft spot for them.

McCoys are my favourite too. They are chunky without endangering your teeth and taste good. I love the steak flavour and salt and vinegar. Fairly big packets too so they do a good job.

I don't think Lays are Walkers, just a wannabe imitation! My ex girlfriend had family and friends from Seville in Spain where all they have is Lays. When a couple of her friends from Seville came to stay with us they discovered Walkers Salt & Vinegar crisps. I swear to god that's all they ate the entire trip. They filled their suit cases with multipacks of them to take back to Seville as they had nothing like those back home.

I'm guessing Lays just don't compare, they just have similar packaging.

EDIT: Lays do in fact own Walkers now, bought them out a few years back. As far as i can tell though Walkers still produce their own crisps. Also I was wrong on the 6 million bags they sell everyday, it's actually 11 million.

Burts are the daddy of all.

But spare a thought for the excellent crisps of old:

Brannigans- Beef and mustard (don't even think these exist anymore)

    Space Raiders

    Salt and vinegar chipsticks

    Squares
