Carrick although defensively not as good as Hargreaves has a much better touch and arguably is the finest passer in the team, he would of been a better choice.
Hargreaves IMO, is much better in a 4-4-2 formation as the more defensive midfielder, where he can use his energy more effectively. But of course that means dropping either Lampard, Gerrard or Beckham, which sadly Sven did not have the balls to do.![]()

Sure it was, he started before the game, no player wants to see an opposition player barge past him and get in the refs face...it is especially provocation when you know the other person is likely to kick off if you do. Ronaldo knew the likely outcome hence provocation hence the wink and pucker.
