For someone on top of his game and relatively young like Pascal, his output was unbelieveably low. That definitely helped Hopkins appear to have a decent output, when really he didn't.
Totally, the commentators were trying to say that Pascal had taken a round off, but that round off ended up being about 7 rounds of the fight. I swear he threw only 30 punches a round in the second half. His stamina and workrate was appalling. It wasn't that hard for Hopkins to outwork him.

Bernard is the man inside and outside the ring. He preserves his self like a prison fighter. Lots of rest. No bad habits. Plenty of training. Im from the northeast and understand prison culture. Old guys in there love to school young guys on how to live there lives. expecially in the 80s and before that. Not to much now a day. They got all the time in the world to study how the human body works. 50 year old guys look like they 32. Because they have no choice but to get proper rest, proper diet, cant truly overeat, constant exercise, No drugs or alcohol, constantly studying there craft whether it be criminal activities or Boxing. He never lost the lessons he learned in prison. Simply championship living inside and outside the ring. He learned this is a 1 and a million chance and he relished everything about not losing it. Boxing is simply his identity and he knows that. Its saved his life and allowed him to prosper more then most people in this world and he took that seriously. I bet he I know what he is doing this very minute. Either jogging, training, sleeping or eating vegetables. Or talking about his lifestyle or life story for the 1 millionth time. I like the man. Very Very unique. And can fight his ass off. Who still fighting from the early 90s.

I had the oppurtunity to spend a few hours with B-Hop on the set of Friday Night Fights last year during a live broadcast. It was Brian Kenney, Myself , The Wife and Hopkins. The man is in great shape and seems to have a real good energy and vibe coming off him and he was pure class.... At close glance he just looks ageless, no lines or wrinkles with a lot of life in his eyes. He looks like he's in his 20's.

I just think he is dedicated and treats his body right and has a ton of self-belief, no doubt his defensive style has preserved him too
