That would be the best fight on the night. PPV for Amir is a joke.

I actually like this fight man. McCloskey is a slick southpaw fighter IMO. He's also awkward and can throw punches from odd little angles. He should have stepped up past euro level before now really to test himself, but I guess this is his opportunity, if he gets it that is. even if he were to get beat he'll put up a good fight trying i'm sure and hopefully earn respect.

Thing that worries me for McCloskey is he holds his hands way low, which against someone as quick as Khan is bad bad news.........

On the surface, this fight seems a complete mismatch. It looks like another Dimitry Salita fight. Fenster, why is this better than Peterson? Peterson has been in with Bradley and Ortiz. Who has McCloskey been in with? I agree with another poster that said he isn't too bothered by this fight and let's wait to pass judgment until we see who Khan chooses in his next one.

Khan's team are a bunch of cheap bastards. Maidana made 600k reportedly in his fight against Khan. U.K. is such a good place to sell a fight, and they cant get comparable money for Peterson or McCloskey? Seems like some bullshit to me, Khan really comes off like a primadonna.

Okay so the fight with McClosky is off now as well
Khan vs McCloskey off while Prescott turns up pressure | Boxing Futures

But prescott is absolutely chomping at the bit. Regardless of whatever shit fee he is offered (gotta love that).

Wonder what Khan will do now? I mean, what option does he actually give himself other than to just wait for the Brad/ Alexander winner?

I have no problem with Peterson. I fully agree he is a more decorated challenger than McClosky. But for me personally, I'd rather McClosky because I'd like to see him get a chance at world level, he's unexposed and the Irish-English angle is a nice selling point (McClosky will have plenty of crowd support) for a British based fight.

Yea Prescott really wants this fight, i would like to see it.

"Amir, I remain ready, willing and able to give you a rematch," Prescott said. "I won't price myself out of the fight. You'll have no trouble selling it to TV. Stop this running and do what the fans want you to do and what your legacy as a great fighter demands that you do: Fight me."

Even if Prescott has lost 2 of his last 4 fights, a lot of people DO want to see this fight and, listening to Prescott, it can be easily made. The fight makes the most sense and it would be piss easy to sell to people as a ppv.

    Revenge!

    Can lighting strike twice?!

    Time to face his demons!

I obviously don't work in marketing but you can see where i am coming from.

(Khan wins within 3 rounds btw)
