He looked beat beause he realized he was in for a fight..and that B-HOP hit a helluva lot harder than he anticipated....B-Hop took his heart....

and It was damn beautiful to watch him take Tarvers heart soul , loud mouth son of a bitch!!

Nah I don't think Tarver is mentally that fragile. He's a great fighter, just didn't turn up on the night.

The Tarver that fought Jones especially the first two times would have given Hopkins a lot more trouble.

It's just a lesson to all these 175 lb fighters, DON'T MOVE UP TO HEAVYWEIGHT THEN BACK DOWN IT WILL KILL YOU!!!

    Just ask Roy Jones...........
He's a great fighter Oh come on. The TArver that fought Jones every time was the same Tarver that was in there against Hopkins, it's just about styles... Roy let Tarver get his shots off because he had no energy or will to win in the case of the 3rd fight... In the first fight Jones looked terrible and still won since Tarver can only keep up a good pace for the last 20 seconds of each round. Crack cocaine is terrible for your respiratory system. Anyways, Tarver also looked like junk vs Glen Johnson in each fight, watch Hopkins fight Glen Johnson, it's pretty clear who's a better fighter.. And as for the third fight with Roy, please... That was exactly the same Tarver that fought Hopkins, I suppose it would have been an impressive performance by Tarver if HOpkins had thrown six punches and danced around the ring for 11 rounds then leaned back into the ropes and got rocked late Tarver has been terribly inactive and unmotivated since he KOed Roy Jones, which was as close to a lucky punch as you will see, imo... He simply ran into a fighter who was better than him, better prepared, more talented, period.
Wow, now I gotta Cool Click ya P4P King. You nailed it man. People are putting too much emphasis on Tarver's weight loss. I saw the EXACT same Tarver from the third Jones fight, in there with Hopkins. It's a shame Roy didn't throw more punches because he could have done the same thing as B-Hop did. And that was a once in a lifetime punch that Tarver landed against Roy in the 2nd fight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Majority of fighters bend the rules and all have subtle ways they do so if the Ref dosent catch it or say anything than it is what it is...They call it being CRAFTY

Bhop is a master technician. A defensive wiz and like Toney a real throwback to some of the classic old school fighters....

B hop will go down in the history books for good reason.....a truly exceptional fighter....

    ALI-Holding and hitting

    Hatton- holding hitting and grappling

    Holyfield-Lead with the head

Winky-Follows through with elbows on some punches

    Taylor-Back handed Jab

My all time favorite Golata with the THUNDEROUS UPPERCUT TO THE JEWELS...Sorry I forgot he got caught everytime LOL!!!

and many others if you can recall please add to the list

Its part of the sport if his opponents not complaining neither should you...They do it to each other

That's the reason why his corner told him not to look for the one punch, when that was exactly what he needed to win, because he was only trying to survive!
Tarver just wanted to go back to the dressing room to smoke more crack. It was a good weekend for boxing with two of there biggest jokes (Tarver & Fagliggani) both getting there ass kicked.

Oh come, you think he went in totally fit and confident, 100% ready and Hopkins just completely punched the heart out of him in 1 round?

I can look at a wall think I can wup the wall...then I run into the wall...and at that exact second I know I'm not beating that wall....That is what I am saying....Tarver knew.....when you fight you almost instantly know where you stand....I can beat him...It's going to be close but I think I can take him...and Holy Shat!!!....Tarver got the Holy Shat vibe....

It feels good to be back home.

    Agreed 80%.

The wife & I watched the fight last night after all of our company left for the 4th & that was about her thinkings too. Tarver had never NEVER been handled like that. He was clueless.

He was head hunting & when the answers started coming back in multiples...Tarver just didn't know which circle to black in.

Watch after the 5th round. Tarver goes pretty much shell shocked for the remainder of the fight.

I actually read on another web site (that I will not acknowledge here) that people thought that Tarver threw the fight & that Hopkins wasn't as effective as it appeared. That's blatant stupidity & pure home grown hate right there.

I compel anyone to watch that fight again & pay close attention to Hopkins & how he handled Tarver. Tarver has never been hit from so many angles & so accurately.

Again...I know that I am a Hopkins fan & everyone rules out my opinions on the grounds that it's nut hugging...but my man did the jam ass work & he should be commended.

I don't think that it's so much he's mentally fragile...again...it was just that he had never been worked like that...not even by Jones in the first match.

Hopkins emboddies everything that a boxer should be & what the sport is all about. He's slick, tactical, & he will beat you at all costs...if everything is on the up & up.

Hopkins's story is what makes him so special. Look at all the other fighters that came outta prison (& there are a lot of them) back in the day...none of them made the impact that Bernard did.

I guess it just wasent a good day for "the Magic men". I was so glad that they talked so much so that way when they lost they had no way to try to make up any excuses.
