Just when you thought it had got even more complicated, with all this WBA Super Champion bullshit, the WBC went and upped the aunty, Erik Morales is now apparently ranked Number 1 by the WBC at 140............ Just when you thought things couldn't get any more ridiculous, or any more beyond a joke. These fukkas are killing boxing for real, someone needs to tell them.

I've been following boxing for quite a while, but I now officially have no idea whats goin on or what gives with rankings and belts anymore........ How on earth is anyone who has just joined, or looking to watch some or just looking out of interest at boxing even remotely gonna figure out this once simple puzzle of Who Is The The Champ" in each division......

EDIT: WBC, if your out there, Erik Morales ranked Number 1 at 140 is THE worst update to the sport I love I have seen in many a year.

Seems like Marquez alway seem to think he is more valuable then he is truly worth during negotiation.

Morales over Maidana by UD. And I wouldn't even consider it much of an upset. The hype on Maidana has gone completely over board. Morales I think still has enough to deal with the wide punching Maidana. Maidana hits hard. But his power is some what overrated. It's not the devastating one-punch power it's made out to be. One look at Maidana's past fights and it shows he scores his stoppages by accumulation. Obviously it's not in Morales best interest to trade with Maidana. And I don't see him doing that. But if he were get caught, I think he'll take the punch. A faded Morales still takes a better punch than Con

It's a done deal. Seriously this fight should not be allowed to happen. Hopefully this doesn't end badly because I have nothing but respect for Morales.

Morales must be thinkin "if Khan survived Maidana, why can't I?"

Well mr Morales. Khan survived cuz he's agile and obviously he's in his prime.

Golden boy seems like a pack of wide eyed ghouls with this...and I thought Ortiz vs a battered and shot Vivian harris was bad. Sick in the head.

I'd pick even a near-prime Morales to stop Maidana by the half-way point, but I don't think he has much left and I'm not sure about his punch-resistance at this point either.

This is going to be bad. I don't think Maidana is an elite fighter but is way too dangerous for Morales to be fighting. Morales has a warrior's mentality and if he gets involved in a brawl, I don't think he'll shy away from it. I would be shocked if he pulls it off.

I want what you are smoking.

Morales is so shot. He can't even erect himself on his spaghetti legs when he gets punched lightly. He is going to try to do a repeat performance like Khan, but it is not going to work. He sees blueprint, adn I just see roadkill.

Khan took huge shots from Maidana. And if you don't think Maidana has 1 punch power. watch round 1 of Maidana/Ortiz again, round 10 or Maidana/Khan or watch him pummel Cayo in 6 with powerful bodywork.

Khan was in the best shape of his life for the Maidana fight, and it showed. My hat goes off to him for a gutsy performance.
