I know people are down on maidana after his performance against a way past it morales, but I think maidana is one of those guys that's just going to be in tough close fights no matter what. I think maidana is still one of the top guys at 140 its just that his style doesn't lend itself to blowouts I guess, he does it pretty much with just grit and power. A rematch with ortiz might go in similar fashion I think ortiz would just be machoed into a slugfest instead of a boxing match.

I think a rematch vs Ortiz will provide even more fireworks because I doubt Berto changes up his corner, Ortiz will have confidence and its not like Victor to try and outbox someone...they'll go to the mattresses. These guys just have styles that mesh and all I can say as a boxing fan is Thank God!

IMO Ortiz KO's Berto brutally in a rematch, and will take his time and break down Maidana in a rematch, IMO Maidana should just stay quiet seeing how he was almost taken to school by a one eyed old war horse in Morales, don't get it mixed up Morales made me proud last time out but the fight just showed how regular Maidana is, apart from his power he's not really anything special and can be outboxed easily, Ortiz wins by way of KO in both

I did think Ortiz was beating Maidana pretty handily at first. Until he got knocked down. Then the confidence just eroded. I think Ortiz could win a rematch if he kept his head together and just did what he did against Berto. He got knocked down and he didn't melt under the pressure he stepped up and put Berto back on his ass. I hope this rematch pulls through.

I like Maidana, he's one scary little fawker. I give him much respect after beating Morales, who I thought woulda school Maidana and probably would if it wasn't for his inactivity. If he improves, he'll wreck havoc.

i think ortiz should fight maidana first because its a fight he can win, and it may give him enough to win the rematch with berto, otherwise i think berto wins the rematch and we go on to see a great trilogy
