Did Roman Karmazin get a Raw Deal?

I'm watching the figh today but the consensus on most sites I've been on is that it could and maybe should have been a draw. I feel for Roman,he gave Spinks a totally undeserved shot,lost and there was no rematch clause.... and now,Roman will be in that band of high risk,low reward so I doubt he will get any big fights anymore. Let's see if Spinks gives him a rematch...

How can you feel sorry for him, its his own stupid fault if he took the fight without a no-rematch clause...
Face it Spinks was a bigger pay day for Karmazin so he had to take it, he is a nobody...

I gave it to Spinks also. I could see it being a draw, but not a win for Karmazin.

I do think the ref was to active, and Spinks was using his head when he clinched, then the ref would break it a little too soon.

I was hoping Spinks would get ko'd again after his ring entrance. I think he wouldn't have been tired if he didn't do that stupid crap coming into the ring. Just like the fight with Zab. He danced for 2 rounds and had nothing left for the last 2 rounds.

I’m with you one that ! I'm old school, I can't get into those goofy ring entrances either. I actually feel embarrassed for the fighter that does that sh**. I agree about Referees braking up the action too fast in general, but must admit I did not notice it that much in this fight? Spinks seemed to engage the action for the most part, until the end , I was impressed with his performance overall. even though I was rooting like hell, for Karm to cash his check !

No, I get what you mean. He was kind of obnoxious and everything and looked like he was right out of Spinks' posse but the guy was legit imo.

I expected Spinks to get run over. But he didn't. He fought a good fight. He clearly tired and ran at the end. But it was still his win.
