I'd bet my life that JMM gives Pac a much better fight then SSM.

I usually agree with you Mick but this post confuses me. You think JMM was a better opponent that Shane?

    wow

Ok we all know Pac and JMM had two close fights but you're saying an older, slower, more hittable JMM is a better opponent to a bigger, stronger, more complete pacman?

I agree that JMM would make it a better fight because he would engage but like Shane said, he did not engage because he would get knock out.

Do you think JMM will win and not get knock out? JMM has been dropped by lesser opponent and has not proven himself anywhere near welterweight.

To be honest I don't remember if I picked sides on that fight.
I'm gonna run a search and see if I can pull up my pick.
I def. didn't pick Margarito because I'm a Cotto fan. So I know that much.

But in the event, wasn't the Margarito fight like 3/4 fights ago?

Hindsight? I saw SSM decline since he fought 2 good rounds vs. PBF after that I knew he was done. This happens often boxers hands and or feet just dont respond and move like they used to.
I see your point, but i guess in hope i thought shane can do it, but nonetheless shane was a huge underdog in that fight swell, and he pulled through, i though he might do the same but he didn't, it was strange how cautious manny was thou

Nah, that's not mental, it's old man frozen hands. He can see the openings, but he can no longer react to them.

SSM got a knock down! That's more than a lot of people can say!

I think you either read my post wrong or you meant to put SSM and not Pac?
Or your taking my comment and twisting it a bit.
Just because I think JMM is a better opponent than SSM it doesn't mean I think JMM is a better than Pac. So don't twist it...

I posted this to PSL in an earlier post:
"JMM is not the fastest, strongest, quickest but my goodness does that guy love to fight and what can you say about Pac he's just a beast."

Yes I think JMM is a better opponent than SSM.
Yes I think it should have been JMM last night.
Yes I think JMM has a shot at beating Pac at 140 or 135.
Anything past 140, me fiiiinks JMM is deat where he stands.

Maybe if JMM weight-drains Pac to come down to his weight we could see the fight happening. JMM going all the way up to his weight, not sure if he will be as effective as their last 2 fights that could have gone either way.

The PBF fight, your gonna hold that against me? Come on he rocked the greatest fighter of all times, but he just couldn't hang with the skills of Mayweather. Yes, the Mayorga fight should have told me something but Mayorga had just beat Vargas(another past it fighter) so he had some momentum.

There's a reason Roach wanted nothing to do with Shane after he destroyed Margarito... He was BEGGING Roach for the fight, saying he'd cut mad weight to make it happen but Roach didn't want it.

Down the line Shane looks old against Floyd, like he can't pull the trigger or get his timing right... he then struggles with Sergio bloody Mora and is inactive for months and months, strangely the fight now happens... despite the fact that after beating margarito in such fashion, nobody was sure if Shane had somehow reinvigorated himself or if it was simply the last great performance of a faded star... I guess roach waited to find out for sure first.

I'll gladly fasten my seatbelt and take my place on the short bus for this one. Shit I thought it would be a solid scrap annnnnnnnd picked Shiner-Shane to pull the upset. Holy hell someone better follow me around the rest of the day and let me know when my own boot falls outta my ass. Hindsight I wish and thought Pac had a platter to make a huge statement by going for stoppage but he equally showed he could temper a flow and shift, boos had to be hell though. Never thought I'd hear that. Shane fought like he was trying to preserve something that no longer exists. He could have went out grabbed last oppurtunity by the throat but looked just content to stand on stage. Wise, durable but really at end, he was there to get got. Time to roll out Shane. Stepping stone is a title you are to good to wear.

If there is a Pac - JMM III, Marquez won't make it to the halfway point. The end will be brutal and swift.

What an abortion of a fight that was. You deserve a ribbon for being smart enough to avoid it.

It was even worse than Calzaghe-Hopkins.

When you said JMM is a better opponent than SSM you need to clarify that JMM is a better opponent if it was not at the welterweight division.

I agree with you completely that JMM stands no chance against pac at welterweight.

Mick do you expect Pac to go back to 140 let alone 135 just to fight somebody he already beat? You know boxing better than that Mick. If this third fight happens you know it will be above 140. It would be a courtesy to JMM if they do a 145 catchweight but that is irrelevent anyway since Pac never weighs more than 145. You know boxing better than many of the members here Mick, you know this fight will be above 140 and thats where I disagree with you and believe SSM is the better opponent above 140.

Be cool brotha Im just saying the facts man, this is how boxing works and Im not trying to twist things. Even if Pac wanted to fight JMM at 135 or 140, it wouldnt be ideal because thats not how boxing works. Fighters have to go where the cash cow is, thats how pac ended up at welterweight and left JMM behind.
