I'm not God, but I am something similar-Robert Duran
I liked Arreola tonight too. I missed his last fight so my last impression of him was as a bloated mess.
Tonight the difference was stark. He looks much leaner, almost in shape.
I'd like to see him in with David Haye, a fun fight imo.
Also I'd fancy his chances in a rematch with Adamek if he stayed in this shape.
I'd quite like to see him in with Michael Grant too. Good crossroads fight there.
Solid scrap and good to see an active heavy. Releford did what he could and wasn't a total waste of a good pair of gloves. Chris needed to go some rounds in new form. Not to mention he was only two weeks off a camp and fight.
He always makes for give some-get some type fights but at the end of the day losing weight is great, he was faster but its the skills he needs to gain or he'll just be same song different day and stumble at top. The leaner Chris didn't eat less leather really.
I was impressed with Releford considering his record. He was a really tough SOB tonight. Showed some real grit. I do not know why he chose to lean in with his gloves up on Arreola and take a beating, when he should have been on his toes boxing, the man had a really good jab.
Arreola looked a lot fast and much more active than usual. Pretty good fight.
The Thompson fight was a farce.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Arreola looked good tonight, he better get a title fight soon as I cannot see him stay disciplined enough to stay in this condition.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I don't think he is ready for it though. Wlad will likely beat Haye and Vitali has the other belt. Arreola simply isn't good enough to beat either of those guys and let's not forget who he has been fighting with this 'streamlined' figure. He should fight someone like Thompson first, at least someone decent in the top 6.
If Haye or Adamek beats either of the Kliktschko's, a fight with Arreola would be fun. I don't see Arreola beating the Klitschko's. I would like to see him in against one of the Russians: Povetkin, Chagaev, or Ibragimov.
