None of this comes as any surprise, Alexander gets the decision, but his crediblity slides further into the toilet, I don't ever want to see another fight this clown is part of.

Congrats Matthysse, you clearly won this fight, and should go on now to bigger and better things.

Totally, I am a fan of Matthysse now. Alexander? He can just bugger off with his weird jerky style and his female tennis player grunting.

the 96-93 scorecard is beyond the realm of reasonable judging.

dropped in a round from a clean punch (10-8 for LM).
    7th round-busted up 10-9 for LM
    8th round-busted up 10-9 for LM
    10th round-busted up 10-9 for LM

Unless I'm crazy, simple math tells me that the most pts a reasonable judge would have given to Alexander would have been 95 pts.

So a judge somehow scored round 4 (knockdown round), 9-9 OR
round 7 10-9 for Alexander OR
round 8 10-9 for Alexander OR
    round 10 10-9 for Alexander

Any of those 4 things is an absolute joke.

Good analogy Capt, Alexander clearly lost, got his ass kicked in the process, and shouldn't have been rewarded for it.

Like I said earlier, this bullshit won't hurt Matthysse, the fans know who won the fight.

Totally, it doesn't make any sense. Judges really need to be held accountable for their actions. If you think you scored 80% in a maths test, but were only awarded 40%, you have the right to contest the decision. I really think that boxing needs more than what it currently has because we are seeing this nonsense all the time and it isn't helping anyone beyond the promoter who has bought the judges.

if someone thinks Alexander won the fight 95-94, 6 rounds to 4, then I wouldn't call them a name. I'd tell them I disagree and move on.

If someone thinks Alexander won the fight 96-93, 7 rounds to 3, I'd ask him whether he is blind, or whether his IQ is higher than the IQ of the guy Billy Bob Thornton played in Sling Blade. MMMM. FRENCH FRIED TATERS... MMMMM.....

Fightnews had Alexander winning too. I just didn't see that at all. One guy was getting busted up repeatedly and being hit with the cleaner more effective punches. No way did Alexander win the majority of the rounds. It was a robbery because it wasn't even that close.

    Boxing - Alexander edges Matthysse

Unlike most close fights I though 9 rounds here were pretty clear.

2,3,5,6,9 for Alexander and 4, 7,8,10 for Matthysse.

Round one was the close one and in my view, one's view of it probably decided the fight.

The thing is Matthysse was more dominant in the rounds he won than Alexander was in the rounds he won, but that almost never matters unless there is a knockdown (like in round 4 tonight). I actually did think about giving Matthysse a 10-8 round in either 7 or 8 (I forget which) but I decided not to.

Round 7 is the one I think. Matthysee landed somethin like 25 powershots to devons 3 or 4.

Feel bad for the guy I said he beat Judah. And he sure as shit beat devon. So many people have let Floyd focus on the color of manny's piss that robberies like this go on in front of everyone. Fuck it's even on tape and it don't matter at all. Direll and his fake injuries Kesslers on off blindness. Marga cheat coulda had a gun and ten straight losses and he would've still got that PAC shot. But arum is honest , and golden boy Christ . Just a shady sport. Like watching wwe sometimes. Worst of all they may not even have football this year so there's not much else to watch. Devon will be on again probably on ppv somehow ...... And we'll all watch. Just how it goes

Walked into result on FB but 9 rounds in there is nothing Devon has done to state he earned this except last and pepper up points with little effect. He is being moved at every turn and cleary being outpunched and out fought to me. Oh looky...Don King, wow.
