    Default Haye and Hype

I have been thinking about last nights effort by Haye , and I have come to the conclusion that Haye's talking and baiting had him believing his own hype.
He talked so much I think he convinced himself he was far better than he actually is.
He did show a better chin than i gave him credit for , but to give the title away without a fight is a pretty poor show for my money.
If he had a broken toe then he should have pulled out, for me he had to much left at the end of the fight , he didnt go down fighting and trying to hold on to his title.
Lets face facts , Haye hasnt beaten anybody at HW who would have a chance against The brothers Grim.
So be careful Mr Haye, because sometimes if u tell yourself something often enough, you convince yourself of the fact.
Saying im going to put you in hospital , doesnt score points, being a jerk doesnt score points , you gave away your title without a whimper, and I for one am disgusted at your pathetic performance.

No, but it helps you earn £15 million for one fight. You bought the PPV, right?

Haye has always behaved like a Dick and got what was coming in my opinion. It's just a shame Wlad didn't knock him out. Still, he was on the receiving end of a pretty humiliating one sided boxing lesson and that will do for me.

The sight of him swinging wildly and missing, throwing himself to the canvas in pretty much every round and running from Wlad like a pussy while complaining to the ref the whole time is something he will find hard to live down. The whole broken toe crap just makes him look even more pathetic.

He's made a fool of himself and managed to piss a lot of people off at the same time.

I've got no problem with arrogant boxers if they back it up, but Haye beat no one of any note at heavyweight and was exposed as a total fraud as soon as he came up against a pretty mediocre champion in a mediocre division.

Still, on a more positive note, that first round knockout on the undercard was pretty spectacular!

I don't pay to watch Pretty Boy myself, but if I did...... I'd probably have to shell out PPV every what..... couple of years or so?

Hype is expected in promoting a fight but being an absolute empty suit who lets his blabbering mouth outlasts his balls is completely another.

He literally had the look of a man of "Oh shit, what have I gotten myself into"

I agree, other than the amateur pedigree and multi-weight multi-world championships Haye is nothing more than say a Charlie Z, talking himself into situation alien to him and out of his depth.

Being a good unpaid fighter and a cruiser champ doesnt automatically make you a great hw, which is my point.
Haye really convinced himself he was great.

I think so too, Wlad really taught him a lesson. He will certainly never be as gobby again.

i disagree. It was all hollow talk. He didn't believe any of his talk. If he did he wouldn't of tried to escape before his ring walk. The truth will eventually come out.

Not really. If Wlad had ko'ed him and he'd left the ring horizontal then I'd agree he'd been taught a lesson, but it went the distance and haye's face wasn't exactly mashed up at the end of it.

The fight was never going to live up to the hype when you consider the styles of the fighters involved.
