    The main problem is, you have to consider the potential range of motion in your arm, and the range you use. My right arm dislocates quite easily, but only at a certain point (so much so that I can do it demand!). However, now that I know the exact point that it subluxates (slipping from the socket rather than fully dislocating) I can avoid getting my arm in that position reasonably well.


    the problem with dislocations is that following a traumatic dislocation, the tissue that holds the arm in place becomes weakened and damaged, and further dislocations are common. Your case sounds fairly dramatic and similar to a friend of mine, who ended up having reconstructive surgery (and has been fine since, however he does not partake in contact sports of any kind).

    The best advice would be to see a physiotherapist and/or sports specialist doctor. However, before splashing the cash, try exercises that strengthen shoulders and back (though be careful over extending and use lightish weights so as not to pull on the joint) Some people recommend yoga type exercises as well.

    Ultimately, you know your limitations, and if you are unable to improve your situation through exercise and restraint of motion then surgery is probably the only route. Ignore the people saying you should give up boxing, its a hard sport, as you know, but dislocations are the result of movement and extension, so that means fishing, throwing, stretching, swimming and for me sleeping are also equally dangerous!

    yoo meee thnx broo, thats wt i was thinking cuz when i go for a righ cross like i take it to the side thats when it happens, so u do the same thing in boxing and it occurs, i think if i do straight punches it will be better.
