Teddy wanted to start camp in the US, Povetkin never came over, Teddy wanted Povetkin sparring and doing ring work, and he hadn't, and Atlas damn near quit (again....such a Drama Queen) but Povetkin's dedication to him as a trainer kept him in. Teddy has said Povetkin isn't in really good boxing shape so maybe this closes the gap because Chagaev will be around til the bell rings to end the fight, he's NOT getting KO'd that's for sure.
El Kabong, I've read commentary elsewhere where the author looked at this fight as a fight between a good athlete/raw boxer in Povetkin and a better technical boxer/not-as-good athlete in Chagaev. The same author picked Povetkin because of his natural abilities and because Chagaev is aging (struggled with Travis Walker). How do you feel about this?
