And that Mickey Ward fight put away any thoughts in my mind that he was a powder puff not to mention all these other guys he's beating I think he's made up for it since he didn't make "the dive" his career.
I can appreciate what your saying , but once a fighter has taken a dive, what is to keep them from doing it at some other point in the future ? , see what I mean? how can you trust him ? To me it’s a deal breaker , one thing you know is that he is weak in the area of integrity , and once that’s established someone with the right money knows they can broker a deal for theirfighter to knockout the Muff Diver ! So why would any boxing fan pay to see that person ever fight again. ?? Can you imagine paying to see a fight that has the history of a possible fix? Hell no ! It can’t be trusted. It’s very important to weed out that type of behavior, in the most strict manner possible, fines and permanent suspension

cool click ! I enjoyed the discussion Starr !
If he was ever gonna dive again wouldn't he have done it against Ward? Have you seen the fight or just that clip? Watching the fight it was obvious he wasn't going to win he was pretty much being beaten up and dominated so he ended it. So I wouldn't call it a "DIVE" I would call it his way of getting out of a fight, unacceptable but still, he didn't make the dive his whole career, looking at the Mickey Ward fight do you ever think this guy is ever gonna do that again?

Yeah Wacko and when he decided to fight seriously like you WANTED him to fight and TKO'd Rangell you found reasons to fault him then too even though he fought the way you said he should

Why don't you look at it this way, its his style, it works for him, it wins his fights and as you saw fighting serious he isn't nearly as effective. Aint it what Sturm just learned yesterday? Can't fight what the people want you to see? You fight with what works for you and when you're most effective? Augustus does that and fighting your way disadvantages him. it's his style, leave him to it, he's at his best when he does it so leave it at that. It works for him!
