Making a thread on it is pointless when you already really know the answer.
i just thought with the stoppage of ortiz made some think twice about pbf's power.
Because knocking someone out when they are not looking and have their hands down means you have knock out power? ... I agree this Thread is dumb, everyone here knows Pacquiao will spark Floyd in a toe to toe battle. Floyd was hurt by Mosley so we know Pacquiao can get him out. Plus just look at the last 10 seconds of De la Hoya vs Mayweather.. Floyd was in control but when he went toe to toe those last 10 secs he got owned by Oscar.
I don't think it was a stupid question. I actually think toe to toe Floyd will knock Manny out. He's the bigger man and has the better defence.

Also what does Floyd getting hit against Mosley have to do with anything? Torrecampo and Singsarat both knocked Manny out...
Wow... Well you know Mosley happened last year, we can safely infer that Floyd is the same fighter as oppose to Manny being stopped in 96 and I believe 98 or 99 ... I mean I'm sure you would agree that that's def not the same Manny Pacquiao not even half the fighter he is now. But I'm not a Pacquiao fanboy, I actually would pick Floyd to win in a boxing match but to think Mayweather would slug and KO pac is quite funny. As far as Floyd being the bigger man, Pacquiao fought margarito and took his best shots so I doubt Floyds size would matter.

You don't think that had Mosley caught Manny flush he wouldn't be capable of rocking him too?

Floyd has never been seriously hurt in his entire career. His chin looks pretty solid to me, and he's well capable of standing in the pocket and trading with Manny.

Manny is a very small welterweight and will rely on his speed and angles to get in and out whilst not taking any big shots himself.

Having watched almost all of both fighter's careers I would definitely give Floyd an edge in power and chin at 147, although Manny has the edge in speed and ferocity.

I am rooting for Manny, but if that fight happens I expect Floyd to win.
I think Floyd was rocked hard by Corley at one point. Judah knocked him down and Cortez (yes, Joe Cortez) ruled it a slip. He was hit by Castillo too and got a bit dizzy for like 2 seconds. Mosley hit him too and was seriously hurt. Manny's punches is packed with power. If you will see the faces of those he faced before, you can say that there is really power behind ever punch he threw. Mosley said that pac's punches has an unbelievable snap, it comes from a short distance, but when it land, its like a punch coming from way back (like a full swing). You add to that power the angles he makes as he put those power-packed punches into combinations and boy Floyd can be hit once or twice in every 15 or 20 punches Pac threw i guess. Chin-wise, I guess Manny's chin is tried and tested. He was rocked several times by clean, unexpected punches in the face and body before. Margarito did game him a blow on the mid section and we can all notice the look in manny's face. It was a hard, solid blow by a man 17lbs heavier than him on fight night. I guess toe-to-toe Manny wins easy. But the question there is, will he be able to hit Floyd?
