I know it’s fashionable nowadays to hate Harold Lederman (and uncool to defend him), but I thought I’d post some positive things about him.

He knows a lot about drugs. He's a pharmacist. He has been a boxing fan for a long time and it is his love of the sport and his sparky personality and outspokenness that got him involved as an unofficial ringside judge. His comments are colorful and that's how they are to be understood. The comments of someone who is a lover of boxing, not necessarily unbiased, not necessarily reliable, kinda like a lot of the posters here but more interesting and therefore worthy of exposure on fight nights.

His daughter is a real judge. I like Harold Lederman, almost as much as I like Max Kellerman. But not near as much as I like Jimmy Lennon, Sr.

Harold Lederman is just one of those colorful people who make fight night a bit more interesting.

Now Teddy Atlas, that's another matter altogether.
