I don't know a great deal about the man, but from what I've read of his life and upbringing, his managing to accomplish anything is a testament to what a fighter he was, period. People are entitled to feel however they like about the sport of boxing, but the reality is that for some people who have been through such personal hell there is no more realistic prospect to make something positive of it all, if only for a time.
