He fought the best he could and was always coming forward. Rios is too lazy to make weight... and Pac wouldn't be bothered to drop down to 140 anyway. And by "peak Margarito".... do you mean the Margarito BEFORE his cheating scumbag ways were discovered?

I'm not saying he hasn't fought the best, I just want to see him in a FOTY. Not seen that since Marquez II. I would have loved to have seen Valero against Pac. That had FOTY written all over it for me. Or even Cotto before Margarito pasted him.

I see what you mean. Pac is waning now, so the window of opportunity for such a fight is closing. I think today's Cotto... fully recovered from Margarito's plaster punches... and with a decent trainer on board... would give Pac a hell of a fight. Maybe even win. I think the Cotto that lost to Mayweather would probably beat Pac. But as for other opponents... there don't seem to be very many out there that would give Pac that FOTY you're talking about.
