so Americans are not refined enough for your haughty tastes? For a person who believes in "equality" certainly you don't class yourself higher simply due to your accent which any fool can copy. Mark Twain had an accent are we to believe that he was some sort of toothless knuckledragger? Will Rogers had an accent are we to believe that he was some kind of uncouth ape man? The South and Southern accent is one that many love and respect the world over....certainly England saw the South as more refined than the dirty Yankees in the Northeast.
