I understand that but let me ask you this, would you agree with me that Mayweather fights an effective style but it does not mean that fights are congruent to a safety first style of fight? Essentially, isn't he a horrible/okay/good/great/genius (whichever you like) boxer if over the course of the fight he systematically breaks down his opponent and that his victory is based purely on skill rather than just brutishly forcing his way forward?

Now mind you I'm not asking you if he's an exciting fighter for you to watch, I'm merely asking if what he's doing is considered high art in boxing?
I'll say this too, I always liked Vitali over Wlad because I think he has a better subliminal understanding of distance and angles.
