Ill be honest I've always thought Jirov got a bad rap for that and I attribute his situation to a lean into the fire style with an absent defence. Joe looked gassed bad at the very start of 8th and was getting touched with many wide hooks here, stunned in the 5th. I thought Jirov nicked that fight with the 3 late knockdowns and actually boxing better than the hbo team cared to notice who were very biased and way ahead of themselves suggesting a fight with Tyson too.

Mesi was a good fighter who maximized what he had greatly. He mixed it up too much and wore the heart on his sleeve and had a really good run of beating some names and also rans. He was top notch on a mic too and always thought he would fit into any blow by blow team you can think of. Sharp as they came.
