Blah, blah, blah...... do we have to go over this once again . We debated this for about 3 hours Saturday night. Just because he might have fought what you consider better opponents, doesn't mean that beating those opponents has earned him the right to a big pay day yet. I mean seriously, who has he really beaten that was a serious threat to him? He still needs to prove himself by fighting & winning against guys like Trout, Angulo, Kirkland or Molina. Being young has nothing to do with it. Golden Boy has just created a hype machine, and expects all of us to bow down & believe it.
The fact that people wanna watch him is why he deserves big pay. It's that simple. Money is what dictates everything in boxing. And why does the name Kirkland keep coming up as someone he should be fighting? Kirkland had his chance. And he backed out. He doesn't wanna fight Alverez. Yet his names is always brought up.
