Everything he says is rational, coherent and apparently quite true. It doesn't take a clever man to work out these things. You just need to listen to a lot of people from the military to know that they don't sound like normal people. You listen to people from even the likes of GPS and even though they seem like nice chaps away from the military mold, they have the same steely faces, unnatural faces with humourless lack of self expression, and speak of global threats as being their main job. There wasn't much to begin with, but all that remains is this weird attitude of kill before being killed. Who is trying to kill you exactly?
In the lack of false Soviet threat, they created this feeble terrorist network that barely existed and on the base of that you see actual nations being taken apart by strange, strange people dictated to by weirder, liars, and money hoarders. What are you fighting for exactly? 'Freedom' is a common suggestion. What it means nobody knows beyond their military schoolrooms, but it is a vogue word when invading other people. Nobody ever ends up thanking these invaders for the carnage that ensues.
It's easier to kill someone in front of you if you really think you are better than them and deserve to live more. You have to rationalise it somehow. It is self deception though as you have no right being there and these people never hurt your homeland. The military is full of grunts and even beyond those you are not hearing enlightened views. People are controlling very intricate equipment, but you know that ideologically they have very little of any meaning. They follow orders and that is the story, you don't question and fight back as you become unemployed. Then there is....
Bradley Manning who is a US icon and nobody should fail to mention that man. One of the few to show a true heart.
