But Haye's insistence on fighting a Klitschko and nothing else, reeks of someone wanting to take a shortcut at the expense of other deserving fighters who've been standing in line for awhile.
i havent seen anyone disagree with you on the fact that haye isnt deserving, other HWs have done more for a fight, thats as close to being a fact as you can get

what i think, and i believe this is why a haye klit fight is still so big news as it is, is that haye is one of the very few people who have the chance of beating a klit if not the only person with a realistic chance

yeah he was crap against wlad and he ran, but still has a better chance than anyone else, they could fight again 10 times and the same boring running shit could happen, on the 11th he could land that punch

provetkin (for example but i could pick just about any other HW) could fight wlad 100 times and it could well be a lot more interesting a fight every time but (barring injury) wlad would win all 100 pretty comfortably without any risk of defeat

So I think we pretty much all agree that Haye isn't deserving at this point, and just needs to fight other top contenders instead of holding out for another Klitschko fight. And I'd be hard pressed to argue about other HW's having more of a chance to beat Wlad than Haye. But not due to Haye's own showing, but rather the pathetic state of the division. Look at the stumble Price took on his way to Wlad. If 2-time Wlad reject Thompson was able to get Price out of there.... think of what Wlad would do to him. You take a gander at the heavyweight landscape, and it's mostly littered with inactive, unproven, oft-injured, bum-fighting, mediocre crap. But Haye, who promised to clean out the division years ago, still needs to fight through the top ranks of that garbage.
yep he should really fight a few of the contenders

in fact if he did i think (if he picked a couple of them carefully) he could be unavoidable by the klits

having said that i would snap their hand off if someone said the next fight would be haye v klit coz i believe its the only chance i have of seeing a klit beaten

and yeah price was blasted out against someone shit, but he is at the start of his career, the same thing could have happened to wlad at the same point in his career against the same type of opponent
