Marvins tactics made sense they just didn't work
That has puzzled me from the night of the fight. He didn't just start off orthodox,he essentially gave away the first 3 rounds fighting right handed and had to know that it was not working from the first.
Its like he was completely blinded by the cash starting at the negotiation table. 15 million was more money then he made over his entire career. He backed down on the rounds from 15 to 12 as Master points out. He let Leonard have a 20 foot ring and then agreed to 10 ounce gloves. Leonards legs were gone in the 12th round. Had that fight been 15 I don't see the same outcome.
