Sadly that's probably true as I think he's on his way to 135. That Is one of my biggest beefs about the modern era and so many trinkets flying around. You can actually get 4 titles in 4 different weight classes and never have to fight a pulse. Its pathetic.
In truth, you don't even have to have a pulse to win one these days.
I really like Garcia and I suppose that's why I'm so pissed off. He seems to have it all as a fighter but I don't like how all of this went down and it does add to my cynicism. There were so many fights at 126. It was kind of stupid for Hbo to show the prefight interview with him saying that he just got the belt and was not going to let it go essentially saying he had just arrived when he failed to make weight a day before. And Lapley going on and on how Garcia was carrying a weakness into he ring made me want to hurl. Lets not forget that Garcia was offered a catch weight of 128 and he refused even though his title would have not been on the line. That alone suggests he had no intentions of staying at 126.
