In my experience, this is because most red heads are crazy. They end up dead, incarcerated, or incapacitated before they have a chance to reproduce.

I'm a redhead you racist as is my twin. I'm 15 minutes older so I suppose I may die first. I'll knock on wood having spent but a few evenings in the drunk tank. I suppose I can be a bit of a sociopath. I blame that on the empirical evidence of existence.

Anyway I'm not a geneticist. I just sincerely wondered how a recessive gene that may even be a mutant can have its extinction predicted in such short order on evolutionary terms.

is it proper to say empirical evidence. Isn't empirical evidence enough.
