There are two sides of marquez. Post-pac version who turned more offensive minded and the early 2000s version who was defense first and offense second.

If marquez carried that defensive approach to 135 or wherever against chavez, I think hed be better off.

And its not like he was defensive to a point of shying away from an exchange, but he got hit a lot less while picking his shots.
