Tyson was a bully so Lewis had to show him from the start that he had a big right hand and that Tyson was going to be eating that when he attempted to get inside. Lennox's jab was a probing one, looking for openings for the right hand, it was a measuring stick. Lewis was great at using his size, Manny Steward made sure of that. Having a 250+ pound fighter draped on your back will sap your energy and strength.
As for Ali-Patterson I mean both of them, Ali just had his way with Floyd in both fights. Frazier was a different animal because he was bigger and stronger and more powerful. The left hook of Joe Frazier was just an astounding power punch to the body or to the head. Patterson had fast hands but let's not forget he was a smaller guy, having previously fought at 175. Foreman didn't have the same success of Frazier because Frazier paced himself, start slow, then "smoke" for the rest of the fight, constant pressure.
