By the way the bible also says in Isiah that the earth is 'round', not bad for being over 2000 years old. It took science another 1000 odd years to catch up with that one.
Bishop James Ussher was the first to study the age of the planet according to the Bible, he suggested the planet was 'created' in 4004BC, studies since have all put the age of Earth at between 6000 and 6500 years old, according to the Bible.

As for the Planet being round, well actually the Greeks were first to discover the planet was round, and the Egyptians used that knowledge to align the Prymaids to the Stars...
