Its literally written on his face when he tries to box, keep distance and not make mistakes. He literally looks like he is fighting to not make mistakes and get caught. Guy like Crawford has depth to read that. Talk about passive.

If he tries to box and match skill and accuracy with Crawford he is going to be picked apart, in ugly fashion. To win this he needs to revert, has to go early Gamboa and make it a dog fight. Bully this kid with shots from the underground and rattle his cage. Punch for punch I think he is faster for sure, but speed means nothing if your hands are in the pockets. Gamboa needs to act like he has been on this level after all this time but I don't see it.

Damn, this is a very solid match!!
Interesting angle and I agree. Crawford does not waste shots and is quite meticulous bordering on lulling his opponent to sleep. Gamboas best chance is to be the sloppy Gamboa and force Crawford into an activity level he is not comfortable with. If Gamboa tries to turn this into a boxing match Crawfords timing will negate his speed.

Amazing that Crawford got this fight in Nebraska
